Okay so my mustache growing went well....but I only managed to get THREE donations from this site. Some 450 people viewed the thread and chose to keep on looking.....what my son has isn't that unique...childhood cancer is not as rare as you may think:
46 children PER DAY are diagnosed
7 of them will die
The average age of death for a child with cancer is 8
My son is being treated with 5 drugs bi weekly....of those not one is less than 20 years old. As a matter of fact there has only been ONE drug approved by the FDA in the past 20 years for ANY pediatric cancer.
We can do better....
I am running a half marathon in March and raising money for the Rally Foundation. All funds raised will go to pediatric cancer research....all it takes is $1......
If everyone who had viewed the original post had donated $1 it would have been almost $500....
Help me help children not deal with this horrible disease. Imagine a world with no chemo ports, no drugs, no vomiting daily, no hair loss, no developmental delays, no pain, and most importantly....no more death.
I beg you...take the money you were going to pay for your next cleaning and donate it to Rally. It may not help my son....but it will help.
