Motiv does not use generic cores in their equipment.

We put on a test drive event, where one of our staff brought in a 14 lb QZ1 that hit as hard as a 15 lb. The same core is used in 13lb and up.

300's - 8
800's - 2 (820, 834)
High Avg - 238

MoRich also uses the same core for their 13# equipment as they do for their heavier weights.

Actually, no disrespect here to anyone, but MOTIV actually offers everything (minus the CRUEL) with "regular" cores from 12lb and up. The QZ and RECON series are offered with "regular" cores from 10lbs and up..only difference would be core density which will slightly change RG and DIFF.

THURST CORE - "T" series (TR2, TV4, TX1)..............12-16
CRUEL CORE - "C" sereis (CRUEL, CRUEL LE)........14-16
GEAR DRIVE CORE - "G" series (GT1)........................12-16
SIGMA CORE - "S" series (SX1, SR2)..........................12-16
QUADFIRE CORE - "Q" series (QZ1P, QZ1R, QZ2)...10-16
RECON CORE - "R" series (RX1O, RX1S)...................10-16

most all companies at 13# have the core the 14-16 balls have, its in the 12 lb stuff you start to see the difference

If  you look at Brunswick's site you will see that they use a generic core with similar, but not identical, attributes on their 12 and 13 lb. balls.
