Could we see some growls in Sproul?

Given what is at stake this season, and that we have watched people qualify at 63 or 64 and then climb to the top 32, how much grousing might there be if some names have a 9-game total that would have placed them in the top-64 but who miss the cut because of the way this week has now been changed.

Huge advantage for the A squad bowlers I think, we'll have to see if it pans out that way with who's on the show, and what squad they bowled on.

Granted, someone could post great games in the last two of the B-squad qualifying block, but after the first 7, only the top 13 were on a pace to beat the scores posted by the top 32 of A squad.  While there is no easy solution in cases of power failure like they had, it looks like Parker and a few others who have struggled this year might get screwed out of a cut while others who are not on a high enough pace will squeak in.

A-squad top 32 after 9 games:
1, Danny Wiseman, Baltimore, 2,180
2, Wes Malott, Austin, Texas, 2,135
3, Tommy Delutz Jr., Flushing, N.Y., 2,133

Interesting post from CJ on the PBA boards...seems that they did not do as the news story had indicated was going to occur...

We just got done bowling about a hour ago. We reported to the bowl at 7:30 AM for roll call. THere was not a top 32 off each sqaud. We started bowling about NOON after the power issue got situated. We bowled games 4-9 and just blended our scores in with "A" squad just like what would usually happen. And they did not re-oil the lanes. We picked up bowling on the same condition as we left last night at 10PM. SO the standings should be CORRECT.

Hey Michelle, thanks for putting up who was on what squad, I was just trying to figure out how I was going to remember that, I thought something strange was happening, because at 1 p.m. here, 4 p.m. back there, only 7 games had been completed and they should have been done long before that, interesting that they changed their minds on how the cut was going to be determined, will still be tough for B squad bowlers I think.

thegame...those are not inclusive rosters, just top 32 from each squad as they stood at the time of the post and before anyone affiliated with the PBA let word get out that they can't stand by a decision...it is nonetheless illustrative of the discrepancy between the squads following the Philly Phiasco.
