So in this "person''s" opinion, only youth can excel at "sports". I would then guess that about 95% of the people who have engaged in professional sports over the past 100 years of so would consider this person''s opinion utterly worthless. So why does any publication allow this person to express their opinion publicly?

As far as Title IX goes, seems like that would be up to the NCAA and whatever other governing bodies are in charge of that sort of thing.
