Cracked Ball
« on: June 14, 2013, 04:25:37 PM »
I was watching some guys bowling and one was using a Columbia Outburst that had a long crack in it. He told me it rolls smooth for him. My question is. Is it against the rules to bowl with a cracked ball ? I'm just curious. Thanks Carlos

Commonly Asked Questions – Equipment Specifications.

Can I use a ball with a crack in it?

If a crack is located within your track area, it is not permitted for use during USBC certified competition. A crack is defined as a narrow opening or crack of considerable length and depth usually occurring from some breaking or parting

Thanks. His has a considerable crack. Sounds like he's not legal.
