I had a Storm Virtual Gravity (solid) that I haven't used for about 2 years. It was sitting in a ball box behind a chair in my living room. Temp was always about 74. Near where I keep my 4 ball bag and a single ball bag. Looked at it the other day and it was cracked completely around in 2 different locations. I have seen and heard of balls cracking from being in the cold but this seems really strange.

John .. from what I've read on this site there doesn't seem to be a standard reason for balls cracking. I have 60 balls in my (home) office on racks or on the floor .. There have been quite a few that have cracked .. in fact if you happen to be near by when it happens you can hear the POP!
It appears that there are a number of suggestions as to how to protect against this but no solid explanation as to WHY! Best I know of (though various suggestions) is if you are going to store the ball for a while .. put it in a plastic bag (one like the ball came when initially delivered). That method seems to work! Not a resolution to your problem but hope the info helps!

John....That was some good advise Joe Falcon gave you...
BTW...74 degrees....where do you live... ??? ???
Heck....a few weeks ago we had SUB ZERO temps...And we never had the heat
about 72...
Usually the heat is set about 68 by day and 66 by night...
And from what I have been told...It's rapid temperature change that causes
today's modern balls to crack...
