If you plug and redrill the ball is it worth it or have I ruined all my other options?

As long as you still know where the pin is your good.  You could always drill a small hole after plugging and fill this with a different color plug to replace the original pin.

No need to do the double color plug. Just remember the pin was in the old ring finger and the plug in that finger denotes it's location. But the ball is definitely not ruined.

It only tells you where the old low rg axis was located. The only concern when drilling a pin is if it breaks or cracks and may lead to ball damage. If youve plugged it then its no longer a real factor.
