Here lately I've been getting cramps in my slide foot. Do I need more arch support, other suggestions.

SrK--I had some cramps in slide foot last a bit.  Us old guys don't warm up to well.  I've been doing more streching especially core streching.  This has worked wonders for my golf game as well as bowling.  I haven't had any cramps since.

I had the same problem last week.  Had to take off my shoes and walk around the center for a bit, but it didn't help much.  I sort of "landed wrong" on my slide foot, and the cramps started.

This may not be of help for the foot, but many times cramping is from dehydration. In fact, one top bowler here believed he was having a groin strain, and after we coaxed him to lay off the "sugar drinks" and start drinking a few bottles of water a day, his problems were gone.

It's amazing what a few bottles of water a day can do to make one feel better physically

After my cramp attack last week, I've begun drinking large quantities of water, and so far, I've had no cramping while bowling or at night.
