I think tonight was the worst combo of wet/dry and constant carrydown I've seen in a while.
Tried to fight it with a control drill w/surface and it was just hook, hook, hook. If I took anything weaker, it would float in the oil and jerk out of the dry. I finally pulled out a Blue Hammer and played in the dry, but carry was non existant.
Burned up a game just trying to get deep enough before I realized I couldn't. Second game was 5-6 frames of fighting playing with weaker covers. By the time I got to the urethane, the oil started getting flaky and even then I had to continually move out to stay on the friction. In other words, I shot 501 and felt like I threw better than I had the last 2 weeks shooting 770 and 680.
Anybody got a different strategy? The only thing I wish I would have tried is going right up the back on the oil line with the control ball.
I was so frustrating I would like to bowl on it to figure it out., but didn't have time.
