I was 9 and had just bowled my first 100+ game. I was so excited!

I think I averaged about 70.

Before anyone tells me I suck, I would like to see you all bowl in leg braces, which I did for years.

I have not quite hit 1 year yet until next September but I started with a Straight ball and averaging around a 100, since then i have switched to a hook ball.  Right now the last 6 sanctioned games I have hit 246 and had a 616 series and am averaging 187 over my last 6 games.
246, 166, 204, 154, 166, 187. Rolling a Rogue Cell, and a blue Hammer Faball.

dont feel bad rev, i cant even remember 20 years ago! all i know is it took me about 8-10 years of hard learning to reach a 200 average. you earned every thing you got back then. now you just go out and buy the next best thing and poof your a 200 average bowler. keep your head up kid, your doing great, though. just make sure you have good fundamentals in your game, first and foremost. you'll learn alot in a short amount of time if you bowl on sport conditions. it'll show you where you need the most work, then get with a good coach to work on what you'll need to improve. oh yeah, learn to make all your spares too. stopncrank

After 1 year bowling (1987-88) I didn't have any official stats.  I was in college and not bowling on a sanctioned league at the time.  I do know that I shot my first 200 game - a 214 - in that time, and I spent every waking moment that I wasn't in class or in bed at the bowling center.  My first year on a sanctioned league I averaged 187.  That was in 1993.
