3 weeks ago I had a customer come into the shop, he wanted a ball that would "finish" when his other stuff doesn't. Basically this guy cannot get the ball outside of 13 board and he needed something that would roll up a little sooner and was more even rolling.
I explained this to him, gave him his options and he decided on ball "X". He got it and threw it and on the condition it was meant for it did exactly what it was supposed to do. Pin was drilled finger level and the pin below the ring finger (which is 3 3/4 from PAP for this spinner).
Now, 3 weeks later he gives me the ball and asks me to plug it. He wants the pin higher because all of the pins on his other stuff is high and they snap. He wants a ball that will finish when his other stuff skates in oil, but he wants snap. After talking with him, his mind was made up, so I am going to plug it up for him.
This will not leave him with 3 bowling balls all drilled to do the same thing.
OK...now...I feel better, kind of.

Look at it this way, in the not too distant future he'll want a ball to start earlier, so he'll buy another from you.
