Okay, so let's say we have an average Medium to Medium/Heavy Oil shot that is FRESH.
For example: sometimes when bowling on this type of pattern, after a few games the shot will start to carrydown (although there is still good head oil) and you have to keep moving right for a righty to get the ball to keep hooking... and other times the backends will get stronger (again, there is still good head oil) and you have to keep moving deeper to keep the ball on the right side of the head pin.
I know how Carrydown can happen (that's when ball's push the oil down the lane and your ball stops hooking a little bit)... but how in the world do the backends get stronger???
Now keep in mind, I'm not talking about the head oil drying up and then the ball can't get through the heads and it goes brooklyn - I'm talking about when there is still good head oil and you can get the ball down the lane with no problem and when it gets to the backend it starts hooking more and more, frame after frame, until you done move deeper about 5-7 boards compared to when you frist started bowling on the shot and it was fresh.
How can the backends get stronger? I've always just adjusted and continued to score well, I've just never understood how it happened???
Thanks!
