Title: DEFY conditioner
Post by: xrayjay on November 05, 2014, 05:21:16 PM
Interesting...just happened to look this up since my friend said that the house he bowls might have changed conditioners. Has anyone bowled on lanes using DEFY?

Yeah, definitely dislike this stuff.  Have kind of figured out how to overcome it, and it's gotten slightly better as it's gotten colder out, but I'd much rather have really anything else down.  I've never had an issue with the oil itself before, you just kind of understand its characteristics and adjust, but this oil is a couple steps back in terms of oil technology across the board.  I just can't believe people actually sat in a room and decided to make oil that moved around and thought that would be a good idea.

Gizmo,

what you described in your post, kinda sounds like the "Made in China" oil/conditioner that a friend uses who runs the center and their natinoal team overseas. :D

The house I bowl @ uses Ice and Fire. Right now, it looks like its the Fire for leagues the last 3 weeks. The other house, I heard uses Genesis Brand conditioners.....

That stuff has forced me to dig out ancient rocks.  Hopefully they come out with a better way to lay it down.  No need for new equipment if it doesn't change.

it's funny, a couple of bowlers asked/told me if they need/will get a NIB since they are seeing the changes at their house. why is a NIB the answer to everything lol...good for the market and they have $$ I guess......
