I have a tight compact swing, which makes me keep the ball closer to my body throughout the swing, it comes kinda natural, and my driller said it was actually a good thing because the best bowlers keep the ball close to them, but Im a little to close sometimes.

I think moving myt right foot behind my left a little more will help. Sounds like good advice. I'll try it out! Thanks

quote:
What used to work was just move the hip out of the way.  A good example of backswing was Dave Husted.

If you're into the "modern" stuff, move the hip over on backswing, lead a bit with the left shoulder and line shoulders up to target line at release.  Be surprised how many "pro's do this.    Sure adds some extra power at the ine.

Do you have any vids of a good example of this?
