Title: Detroit Area January Get Together

Mojo started it , and tried to market it as a 'challenge'...silly man !

Anyhow, what days are best for people, where, etc, etc..........

Maybe a Saturday gig, get some people from 'around' the area, i.e; IL, OH, etc..

Saturday, January 10th ??

I know I am not from the detroit area, but I might be able to drive up for a day or so.

Must have missed the first post.Just a suggestion but how about we get together and bowl in the Hamtramck.It's a four game format,great shot,and kinda central in Hazel Park.If a gettogether is all we want I'm good for that too.Just name time n place.

It's the Hamtramck Singles.Runs every weekend at least two squad times a day.The format is four games across 8 pair.Not sure of entry,I think it is $50.You can bowl handicap and/or scratch.Lanes are synthetic and they put out a very playable shot.The house is Hazel Park Bowl.The lanes are stripped and reoiled after each set so it does not matter what squad time you pick.Will get more info if we are interested.Pretty sure they have a web site.

I should be able to make it, get back from Florida on the 4th and was looking for something to do that weekend.

It may be a little close, but we still should be able to get a squad of 24 together.  Looks like we have that many BR members just from the Detroit area.

I nominate Jeffrevs to handle that task.

Count me in since Eric is going to be there.  Got to see the long approach he's been working on.

Probably wouldn't matter anyhow Jeff.  With me in the mix it would take a large miracle for the other 23 to shoot high enough to hold me up.

How does the Hamtrack work, can we all show up at a certain squad time and bowl together or do they make us draw for lanes.

I guess as long as we can all agree on a squad time for the 10th, we can at least get to see each other again.

Sounds like he's done it before, so maybe he should be the man for trying to set us all up for this day and the same squad...that would be sweet !!

Today is my last photo assignment so I'll be in town til the 3rd with nuttin to do. I'll call the lanes tomorrow and get all info.I bowl in the money squad(all scratch all pots:$350+side action and brackets) every year and my group always bowls together.I'm pretty sure we can specify lane assignment so if we're not on the same pair we will bowl along side.I'll start a new post tomorrow with info.

Wotargara, I never replied to this gathering.  Since I was brought into this, here's why I probably won't be attending:

1) I'll be heading to Reno the following weekend for a tournament
2) I'm not sure it is worth shelling out the $ for a flight from CA to Detroit for a one day gathering

One more thing, I don't think I like the implication "hitching a ride on TPs broom"

Hey guys.  I'd love to hang out with you all for the gathering, but not sure I can make it to the Hamtramck simply due to funds.  I can try though.  I have a squad on Jan. 11 up in the tiny town of Fowler, MI at 1pm if anybody's interested.  6-laner, very nice place though.  They have a little singles tournament that goes on all year long.

Jeff, keep me posted on the gathering.  If you guys can't get into the hamtram that day, let me know.  You really should have called yesterday to see if there was room in that squad as they tend to fill up quickly.  Maybe you'll get lucky!!!
