Title: Did anyone else come back with cold/flu symtoms from the Hoinke
Post by: Nicanor on June 10, 2003, 08:13:35 PM
Man,
I'm sicker than a dog.  I don't remember ever being this sick.  I think Thong Princess spiked my drink.  I heard her knocking on my door late Saturday night, but I was too scared to answer.  The Escatsy must not have worked

Sniffles Sunday, clogged nose and fever Monday and now its in my chest.  What did you do to me TP?

The trip was great and bowling with SrKegler, Strikemachine, TP, Rick Wunder, Card79, Axewelder, Paul and Tony was a blast.

Srkegler got another head pin tap towell that he is famous for and if you were to video tape Mr and Mrs Kegler, you'd have aq hit comedy SITCOM. What a great pair.

I wish I could tell you all the fun we had, between singles doubles and team event, it was great.

To keep it bowling related,   CARD79    bend the knee.

I've already worked up a sweat from typing this little

V/R,
Nicancor

It's that sunny Califonia weather that's got you spoiled
Us folks from OH and IL are used to it

Drink lots of tea, and OJ.
and take Vitamin C and Zinc when you know you are comming this way

Get well soon,

I am already practicing your advise.  I will keep you updated on it's progress and effect.

I have felt ok since returning.  I do know there has been a Monkey Pox warning here locally and a few other counties in Ohio and also in Illinois.

Yeah, it should fix you up.  But the key is to continue taking it, that way you don't get stuff in the first place

Nicanor, It wasn't me knocking on your door.  It must have been some other adoring fan of yours.  Maybe some one followed you back after seeing your bowling, or maybe it was from dinner after seeing you with the bib.   It could also have never happened and been one of your fantasies that I came knocking on your door.

Hey I'm from sunny CA and I'm fine, or is it something about San Diegoans?

Doctors,

I seen one before I left for Cincinnati and he tells me they're going to operate on my lower back, MRI on Friday.

I went to the doctors yesterday and they tell me I have tenitis (sp), ringing in the ears, major hearing loss and will probably need a hearing aid. ENT appointment next week.

I guess I'm just getting old

Whatever Nicanor.  I don't believe you are old for one single minute.  Have you seen this guy people.  He is not old.  He is trying to sucker everyone in to feel bad for him then wham he lays it on you.  Lol.

Take care of yourself.

Not sure late 40's early 50's is old seriously.  Where is Sawbones lets ask him.

From "bone's" eyes, everyone is a young Futt.

Nicanor is just trying to sucker us into some pot games.

Nicanor, what's the verdict on the lower back deal?  I'm pretty familiar with those types of problems, and you've got me worried on this deal.

Oh, don't sweat the lumbar MRI.....all you've got to do is to lay still inside the tube, while the monkeys run around the outside of the machine banging on the metal tube with wrenches (or at least that's what it sounds like).  I've fallen asleep inside the MRI machines before, if that tells you anything.  A typical lumbar scan takes 20-25 minutes to complete....the machine does all the work for you.

I thought something was a little funny at the boat house.  Looked like TP may have dropped something in your drink after you refused to pick up the check.  You two were the only ones that requested seperate checks.  Wished I'd have thought of that, Mrs SrK has NEVER, repeat NEVER picked up a check.  I'd trade her off but the cost of refurbishing is just too high.

It's not surprising that you have lower back pain.  Look how many times you done your "shot in the back routine".  Surprises me you can even walk.

Probably wouldn't have done any good to knock on TP's door.  When we were checking in I asked her to get an extra room key for me.  She came up with some lame excuse about just being there to bowl.

I'll bet she won't even share the house when I come out to LA!

Nic,
I seem to be symptom-free.  I hope your condition is improving quickly.

Good luck with your MRI.

Things took a turn for the wore yesterday afternoon.  I had to ask my wife to comer home from work (she's a RN) and she wanted to hospitalize me  Fever got high and she kept me cool and drinking a lot of fluids.  This morning the fever is gone and all I have is body ache, sniffles and sore throat.  But getting better.  I haven't been sick in a long time and flying back from Cincinnati I was worried about SARS.

In 1994 I had an MRI and a Mylogram (sp)  The MRI was freaky because I am clostophobic (sp).  With my wide shoulders the first time they pushed me in I got stuck and freaked out.  Next time they folded my arms very my chest and I closed my eyes and went for it.  Man is that scary.  Tomorrow I'm taking two valium before I go (prescribed of course).  They talked aboput removing the lower Lombard vertebrae.  I guess thats where the spinal core ends and the nerves go through the lomrbar  I think they said my problem was in both L3 and L5.  The Mylogram was even tougher but not as scary.  the pain I had when they pushed that needle into my spinal core was like getting electrocuted.  I didn't want to end my career in 1994 do I opted to forgo the operation until I got ready to retire.  Well I guess its time.

Thank you all for the well wishes.

To keep it bowl;in related:  Card79, remember to bend your knee

V/R,
Barry

I will bend and good luck.  Sorry for all our bad humor about your illness.

Might want to check that monkeypox thing though.
