One company only, which one would you choose, and why

Here's why I ask... I bowl with four other guys. We bowl two leagues per week and bowl once a month in a local tournament. At the end of the bowling year, whoever has the most points ( We have our own little point system) gets $1000 and 2nd gets their $250 back. This year were adding the stipulation that you can only bowl with one company. Also, if you pick Storm, you can't throw Roto Grip. If you pick Ebonite, you can't throw Hammer, Columbia, or Track... Its one company ONLY...

I finished 2nd last year so I have the 2nd pick. The guy who won threw mostly Storm so I"m assuming he's going to pick Storm.

It's really hard to pick one over the others, because they ALL have good stuff these days. It might help to tell us what you're currently throwing, or what characteristics you like in a ball.

P.S. Going long and snapping hard isn't what I'm talking about. All companies have stuff that will do that.

I am Ebonite Track guy. If I had to choose one right now it would be track. One of the main reasons is the numbering system. When you look at the system you can tell right away what the ball was designed to do. T balls are designed to hook earlier and read the midlane really well. C balls are suppose to be good and smooth on the back ends and the A balls are suppose to go long and snap. It also makes it easier to know which ball to change to. IfI am throwing let say a 718a need somthing that starts up earlier I can change to a 505t or 715t.

LANE #1 for me nothing i have seen makes as good of a move off the spot or carries as well as lane #1

I have matched up best with Brunswick and have used it almost exclusivly the past three season. I have had a lot of successes with the equipment and the new releases look to continue the trend on some really good stuff. From entry level equipment up they have a good amount of stuff to choose from.

Second would be Hammer, third would be Roto Grip. I was going to go almost all Motiv this year, but just didn't get the reaction I was looking for from the equipment. So now I'm selling it. Last would be Ebonite.

I was thinking about going all Motiv as well so I'm curious, what kind of reactions were you getting? What didn't you like about the reactions?

900 Global hands down. In fact I only own two balls that aren't from 900/AMF. One is an original Eraser that only goes to travel leagues and the other is an Avalanche I use for drier shots again travel league. I don't think I have thrown a ball in regular league or tournaments in over a year from anyone else. The original Columbia equipment always worked best for me and the 900 is the same way. Just a perfect match for my game and style.

I feel that can change from year to year, but right now Ebonite is working really-really well for me and I am scoring the best I have for the last 2-3 years after failing with Lane 1 the past 18 mos or so. My average has gone up 16 pins since I switched to Ebonite the first of February this year.

Storm all the way! I struggled for a better half of last season till I purchased my first Storm ball, The Victory Road. I can't say enough about this ball, it is just so versatile. Since the VR, I recently added the Nano and this ball is a monster! Storm is putting out some great stuff right now. I can't wait to get my hands on the VR Solid.

If you throw 15lbs I have a Primal TV4, GT-1, and a Cruel LE that I will take $360 shipped on.

I drilled a GT1, Backdraft, and Cruel LE. The GT-1 is amazing and rolls great. The Backdraft isn't as angular as I was hoping for so far on the conditions I've tried it. The Cruel LE is a huge hooking beast. I was expecting a polished pearl ball drilled for length reaction. OOB is still a little dull and requires some serious oil. Im going to add a decent amount of polish and should make for a more usable ball for me. I Just don't like the reactions I'm getting to use it exclusivly for a season. What I have will fit in with some other stuff but not going to try building a full arsenal with it.

The fact they have a new ball coming out that is suppose to hook even more then the LE makes me laugh. I'm not sure where people are bowling on this much oil at but wow. I was going to be bowling in a new house this year that has a little more oil but the plans fell through. That said, the LE was a lot of ball even in that center and would require some polish to make things work.

I will say this, the hit of this equipment is very impressive. It does have a very distinctive sound that differs from other equipment.

It would be Track for me because they have a well-rounded arsenal of balls for every type of lane conditions and ball reaction. The numbering system also helps the consumers decide which ball is best for them without overlapping what they currently have.
