I do not have a Hy-Road Nano, but I did get an opportunity to try the Columbia 300 SpoileR at an EBI Demo Day this past weekend. First of all, here are some stats:
Lane Surface Bowled on: AMF HPL 9000
Lane condition: Fresh (THS), 42' length
Ball : 15# - Pin above fingers, middle of bridge. CG stacked
I am a speed- dominant stroker (avg RPMs- 280, 18 mph)
This ball worked best for me inside the oil line. I was pleasantly surprised at the high
carry percentage, as long as I stayed square and didn't leak the ball to the right. I usually struggle with pin carry if I have to move into the oil, but the SpoileR gave me a very nice look.. When I leaked it right, the ball had nice recovery but, as with most solids, the ball tended to lose some energy, resulting in a higher percentage of corner pin leaves. As long as I stayed very square and kept it in the puddle, it produced very good results.
