Title: different ball reaction?
Post by: helpless bowler on May 04, 2008, 06:22:50 AM
what is the difference between ball reaction with the pin above ring and pin below ring fingure?

The way I understand it
pin above ring= more length with a stronger back end reaction
Pin below ring= earlier hook with more of a smooth and controllable back end reaction.

The above is true for symmetric balls or balls with a relatively minor mass bias rating.

Strong assymmetrics like the Cell, LevRG, etc. will need to use the dual angle method to determine ball reaction.
