If you use Paypal, they have discounted shipping  arrangements with UPS and USPS through which you can print the labels, etc. Also, a private person can set up online accounts with UPS, USPS, and Fed-EX to do the same thing. UPS  can be dropped off at Staples and they will provide you with a receipt, or you can hand the boxes to a carrier. I suggest you speak to your local pro shop about saving you some single ship boxes (9x9x9) and old ball boxes as it is best to double box balls when shipping, and that will save you a few bucks on boxes.

When I buy single balls they are shipped with the ball box from the manufacturer inside a 9"x9"x9" cardboard box often made by Uline.

I save all those boxes to ship (double boxing is essential as far as I am concerned) sold used and new balls.

 

I have an online account with both UPS and FEDEX, using a credit card. That gives me a small discount vs someone who has none. (People who work for a company that has a large business account with either shipping company will obviously get a larger discount.)

 

When I sell a ball I often ship UPS because they have many stores with convenient store fronts with whom I can drop off the sealded box with a sticker with the delivery and return address and the bar code generated by their website, for no charge. For FEDEX I have to bring it to their local office or a drop off store front (less convenient for me than UPS. FEDEX can be slightly cheaper.

 

 

 

 

9x9x9 boxes are perfect for double boxing what ever is needed perfectly with a manufacture box.

 

I got a fedex account and use it for shipping. You get 20% off of shipping the first two months and average cost insured after that with ground anywhere in the continental U.S. is $13-18 max. Living in the central part of the country I can mail an item ground and they have it in 3 days or less.

You can use a 4 ball shipping box and take it apart and use it for two outer wrappers for a standard ball box. Pull it apart where the glue seam is and then cut it at the center joint making 2 identical pieces. With some slight cutting on the flaps and some packing tape, it fits around the ball box just fine. I have done this for years when selling on Ebay with no problems.
