What to clean with, there are many products you can get to clean with. You can make your own as well. As far as how often that's where you will get many different answers. Many people will say after each time you bowl with the ball. Then you have people like me who know they should clean but never do and so far have not lost any reaction. Talk to your local pro shop person to have them set you up.

I use a 50/50 mix of Simple Green and 90% rubbing alcohol. After you finish bowling preferably, like, before you put them back in your bag. Not when you get home or before you begin bowling on the next outing like I see most people do.
