Brooklyn? Jersey? Idiocy?

A debate between a close friend and me sparked this topic: When you cross over to the "incorrect" side of the headpin, what do you call it? I call it Brooklyn. He calls it Jersey. (We live in different states.) Does it change for everyone based on where they live?

Brooklyn is what it's called just about EVERY PLACE I've ever bowled. I've heard people call it Jersey, but that is a rare thing on the whole.
