What are the pros and cons for inserts or just plain finger tip holes.. do you get more revs or what? just want to know

have used "no grip" drilling only once on a plastic/spare ball and I see no big difference in revs.
But the feeling and the "snugness" was different...

Other's will chime in and provide more info.

I would say
one advantage is: snug feeling
disadvantage could be : they wear off over time

... and I guess it is a matter of taste, too.

i am just wondering.. if i should try no inserts in the next ball i get.. cause everyday my fingers change and im tired of doing all this work on inserts when i could make the holes with no inserts bigger easily

I go with no grips because I don't get hung up without the grips.  IN THEORY, you should get a bit more "lift" with grips, to me, I just got inaccuracy. I prefer going with no grips myself, others will disagree, but you will never catch me with another ball with grips again.

I have to use grips. I had about 2-3 balls without them and my fingers would have calisies on them and swell up. Started using grips and don't have any more problems.

Hey funnyman, here's what I do. Buy the largest size insert you need, put them in and just glue them on the sides. Take a thin plastic food lid and cut it into small strips. When your fingers shrink up just add the strips between the insert and the hole at the back to tighten them up. Works great for me and the strips remove real easy when your fingers swell up.
