Do I Need To Add Another Ball To My Arsenal

Been debating over the last month if I truly need to add another ball to my set to cover all the basis. I revamped nearly all my arsenal from the summer except for my Power Machine and Scout and rebuilt it for THS and tournament conditions. Here's what I currently have:

NVD- Awesome ball
Cell- Debating on replacing it with a different solid but with better carry.
Complete NV- Another good ball
Power Machine- My favorite, I call it "Mr. Flippy"
Mars- Will get this one in March/April
Scout- My spare ball

The Cell I'm not really happy with at the moment and don't know if I'll replace it with Striking Motion or Power Swing pretty soon. Trying to keep it within 6-7 balls and more room in my closet, lol.  Other than that does my arsenal look well balanced?

Add the Magic to that list.. this ball will be BOTY 2009 easy! Best ball I've ever thrown.

Oh please, for your sake, do not get the striking motion.  But i think you need to add a ball in there that's a little less ball than everything you have now.  All your stuff now is pretty aggressive.  I would suggest a Street Rod solid which is, IMO, one of the most underrated balls out there.  Even something from the vibe series would be good even though i'm not a hammer fan at all.

I'm not much of a Hammer fan either since I don't match up well with their equipment, but I do agree with you that I am missing something non-aggressive for medium oil. My Power Machine is a great ball and I can do almost anything with it, but I haven't been using it very much since I've gotten the 2 Ebonite balls back around Christmas. There's not really a medium oil ball out there for the moment that I want to try since I tend to do better with higher RG balls (though I have looked at the Playmaker, Venus and Loud Noize).

Is the Striking Motion not a good ball? I haven't heard much about that ball since it's been out.

I personally think you have your mediums covered well enough with the CNV and PM, unless you feel like you'd need a smooth ball in that area as well.  A replacement for the your Cell, I'd recomend either the Pin Slasher or T-Road Solid, or you could go with the Power Swing like you mentioned.

If it comes down to replacing the Cell, I'll probably go with either the Momentum Swing or Power Swing. From what I've read and seen on videos on the Striking Motion it would probably not rev up sooner for me.

You would be better off throwing a ball of dryer lint down the lane than throwing the Striking Motion.
