...you're wrong.  Every single one of those balls come sanded out of the box.  Most sanded balls these days come at 2000 or 4000 abralon, which is not super dull, but it is NOT "shiny."  There is zero polish applied to any of those balls out of the box.  (And I also have a Cell, and it certainly was NOT shiny out of the box!  The Cell Pearl, yes, but not the original Cell)

Very, very few balls come super duper rolled-in-a-parking-lot dull these days because there's simply very little use for them.  For most people they roll out at the arrows and don't have any energy left at the pindeck.  If you personally like a ball to be very dull, sand it!  Sandpaper, Scotchbrite, Abralon, etc. are all your friends.

The Cell comes 2000 grit Abralon matte. "Matte" is just another word for dull. It is not polished. The Cell pearl comes polished.

Not one ball on the list I gave you is polished. Everyone of them is finished with some level of abrasive at the factory. Polish never touches one of them untilthe user/bowler gets them.

Maybe you have your own personal definition of the word, "dull"??
I mean, does a ball's surface have to sandpaper your hand to blood to meet your definition of dull?

Ther are so many balls that are matte finish (sanded) out there right now.  I don't think you looked too hard.  There are multiple balls from every manufacturer that fit your wants.

theres no such thing as absurd when grown men analyize bowling balls. that in itself is absurd and to say something is anymore absurd on here than the other simply means that is absurd!

Well the reason could be the newer cores combined w/the newer coverstocks that they don't need to be as dull out of box.  Technology has a way of doing that.

Ogre Solid is probably as close as you're going to get to that dull from a ball that is OOB condition
