Do you change your release for a DRIER shot?
« on: July 07, 2004, 02:08:38 PM »
Or do you keep your reguar release and use a milder ball?

I'm usually sort of up the back of the ball, and wit my high track, I can't get a ball through drie heads good at all... but it was recently recommended to me to tilt my axis more and come round the ball more (or kind spin the ball slightly I guess) to get the ball through the heads better.

What do you all do?

I usually use the suitcase method with a milder ball to get through the heads on drier conditions when the back ends are flying. I have been reading the drag method that John Jowdy talks about and I'm going to try that for a couple of practice sessions....just need a drier house to try it in.

I take out my wild. If that still over hooks, I adjust my wrist.

I remembered one time the lanes were really fried, and I just basically spinned the ball. Seemed to work pretty well.
