Before you get too carried away, I'm referring to my "bowling office".
My eldest son moved out last weekend. I have a bit of clean up and repair to do to his old room, then I'm moving in!!
I'm decorating the room with all the stuff I've been collecting over the years. In addition, I picked up some used pin decks, so I'm going to wainscoat a wall with them.
Here's a few of the things that will serve as "decor" in my new found second home...

A bowling fabric valance for the window.
Bowling wallpaper border.
A number of plaques/awards/framed newspaper articles.
Bowling area rug (when budget permits)
Ball rack (removed from a local center when they remodeled)
Ball spinner and table
Some display bowling balls (retired with honor)
and lots and lots of collectibles:
Magic bowling ball
salt and pepper shakers
planters
old photos
bowling barbie and friends
maybe a quilt or something with all the pins/patches attached.
My old bowling shirt from when I was around 14.
My college bowling shirts
Old name plaques
Etc...

So, in a couple of weeks, when I'm posting to this forum, I'll be doing it surrounded by all my bowling stuff!!!

I already have a place in my house where I display all of my awards, trophies, press clippings, and so on.  It's about six inches square.  

All good things are worth waiting for --- sounds like you'll have something special when you get done.  (You can redo the floor in maple laminate and put the "arrows" in the appropriate spots....lol) -- Congrats!!!!!
