Honor Scores in the modern game are primarily a game of the where, how, what, and the many. You have to be on a scorable condition, the block of games (3,4,6, or 8.. 3-4-5 man team, or singles), equipment and game correlation, and of course... the biggy how often to you bowl (once a week, 2, 3, 4, 5; or tournament play every week, once a month). Honors could grow exponentially if all these X factors are in place.
When I see people with ten's, and hundred's of these honor awards, rest assured that talent and many hours of time has been invested in their achievement.
Heck, I'm plenty happy just with a few awards, practice twice a week, once a week league, a tournament or two. It's an honor to just bowl. What a great game. I would not be insulted with the question though, if asked, I would certainly give a mouthful of rightful education depending on the delivery based on the intuitive intent of the questioner.
