Do you have a favorite........

......playful rib at your teammates?

We are all in the 180-220 range (but then again, isn't every team? ) on my Thursday night league.

When one of us leaves a 2-4-5-7-8 or a Greek Church or a big washout, it's virtually a race to belt out, "OK, now let's get the other half!".

What are our favorite ribs out there?

The favorite one that we use is whenever someone throws a gutter and you here at least one person say:

"It doesn't come back from the grey board".

I always say "Whoops" when I hit Brooklyn and strike.  Now I have other people saying it.

When someone whiffs the 10 pin (or any other single pin spare - but it is usually the 10 pin), I break out the

"Just a bit outside"

A common one around here: hit  flush, leave a stone 9, or the like.

We say there's an out of bounds past the 1-board.  When the first two guys strike and the rest of the team comments on me getting hung (I'm the captain, so I can be hung whether I strike or not if the two behind me strike), I always say that I'm not worried because our anchor will blow it anyway.

I like that "Hook!" bit after dumping it in the ditch.  I'll try that tonight.

Anyone leave the 3-6-9-10-4-7 and the 3-4-7-9 in one night?

My team in a men's league after a 5 pin has been left.... Does your husband bowl? or the "Does the wife know you've got her ball?"

If the other team throws a gutter, "Ok, now that you're lined up, I suggest you not move"

Team Mate throws it in the ditch on the first ball we all yell "ZER00000" and the whole house looks and sometimes joins in...its a riot.  Got another team doing it now too...lots of fun.

In our house if someone throws a gutter on their first shot, someone will invariably yell out "Hamburger on lane __ !" I don't know the origin of the phrase, but when you hear someone yelling it (and it's usually the same guy!), the offender can be seen coming back to the rack with his/her head hung in shame. Too funny! Unless it's YOU making that sorry walk back. I know, I've been there...

Throw a bad shot, drop the ball or hit your leg, doesn't matter why, and get one on the first ball, we all start clapping and saying, come on bring 9, bring 9.

We have a guy that is in his first year of bowling, he will get a strike and then throw a gutter, so we all reassure and him and tell him it's ok you are on a strike, those pins would have only counted twice.

Leave a split, shoot it and leave pins standing on the deck, we tell them, it's ok a few more balls and you would have got them all.

We have a lot of fun when we bowl.

lol I've never heard anyone else use that. When someone goes flat 7 or 10, i'll yell out something like "Next time don't throw your purse down there." or "Geez I wonder if your purse will fit back through the ball return?"

our monday night team yells, "eddie", if someone carrys a hit hit( tripped 4, etc.)----this is in reference to a guy named eddie who carrys more high hits then anyone i've ever seen.

In any league I am in, no matter who it is. If they throw a gutter on the first ball and then knock them all donw on the seond throw for the spare. I always yell out the congrades with a:

 "OK THATS HOW YOU MAKE THEM MULIT PIN SPARES!"

Then on monday with the guys on another team that I hang with. The lefty on the team is known to miss the head pin a few times. Yet this is a lefty house so to mess with him we sometimes ask him:

"You do know it is easier on your side of the lane right?"
