I do. It was a plastic ball Brunswick. It was red swirly. Conventional grip. No inserts of any kind.
I was 12 or 13, I forget. But I do remember putting a pillow at the end of the hallway and making my own "lane" so that I could practice. The ball put little burn spots on the carpet, hehe.
Man, I remember how much I loved that ball. I'd clean it when it was already clean. The good ol' days!
Do you remember your first ball?

Yah...was an Ebonite Maxim Blue spare ball.
A bunch of buddies started going weekly, so we all
decided to get some equipment.
First actual "hook" ball was an Ebonite Tornado. Got my
first 200+ game on it.
*sigh* memories. I still have both sitting in my closet.
-
16# Ebonite, Gold Dot bought at a yard sale for $1.00. In the garage somewhere.
I used it about 6 months and bought a new Red Hammer, the first ball I had drilled finger tip with inserts. This was about 1989.
The Hammer was sitting in the proshop, I gave it to a teammate last year.

Brunswick, I think it was called an "LTD"? 10# Black, hard rubber bought at K-Mart. I learned how to throw a hook with this ball (first ball I had drilled finger-tip). I was 10, and went through 3 of these due to them cracking. Shot 215 with it before moving on to a 12# LT-48.

10 pound blue and black AMFlite....still sitting on the rack in my garage.

Aah, the memories. 1963. Brunswick Black Beauty, 16 lb, drilled conventional. About a year later, I had the driller add a set of finger tip holes on the other side from the conventional holes. Tore my thumb up (incorrect thumb pitch), but convinced me fingertip was the way to go. Then bought aa AMF three dot. Best I can remember, both were $26.95. -- JohnP

An 11-pound, gold-colored Galaxie 300, purchased at Kmart. However, that particular Kmart didn't have a press, so what we got was a coupon for reduced-price drilling at a pro shop at one of the local bowls. Turns out the guy who ran that shop was a quack (although we didn't know it at the time), and he *really* messed up the ball. Needless to say, I didn't have that ball for very long.

A 10# black Brunswick (Black Beauty, maybe) back in '88 or so. Got it at K-mart for $20, and it cost about as much to drill at the local house. Second was a Brunswick Cyclone in '99 that I still have, been plugged three times and needs a fourth.

Brunswick Black Beauty 8-pounder when I was eight. I still used it to shoot the 10-pin as a teenager until it cracked between the finger holes one night, then literally broke about three shots later. A big chunk came out of it.

14 lb Columbia 300 Black Knight.
It went up in a blaze of glory when I tossed it on a bonfire. It had been eaten by a ball return and was rendered useless. It was replaced with a 15 lb Black Knight that the center bought as a replacement.
To this day, that bowling center has a sign up that says, "Use personal equipment at your own risk".

My first was a Brunswick "Mark Roth" that I picked up back in 1984 or 85. I think it was a K-Mart special like so many others seem to have started with. I still have it and it's a pretty good ball for picking up (or at least trying to pick up) 10 pins.

First ball when I was 8 was an old "Lucky Strike" that my dad bought for me from Sportmart back in 87. Still have it in the closet at home.
After getting back into bowling in 97 first ball was a 13lb Blue Hammer, bowled 2 finger with it for about 6 months then used it as a spare ball while I got a 15lb Combat Zone Tracer (started to use my thumb).
Now I have too many balls....
