Resurfacing the UI
« on: February 24, 2005, 09:08:25 AM »
after redrilling my UI a few months ago, i talked to the driller about resurfacing my UI, he was like it wasnt such a good idea. He said that the ball  dies if you resurface it, anyone had a 1st hand experience? by the way this was tommy delutz's pro shop

Can't speak for everyone, but I've certainly never had that problem with the UI.

the best way to resurface this ball is to place it in a rejuvinator to extract the oil. then have it wetsanded down as far as it needs to remove any marks on the ball. then have it wetsanded back up to 800 grit. your ball's reaction should be almost like brand new.

why do you need a resurface if you just bought the ball a few months ago?
