STORM TOO HOT!!!
« on: March 03, 2004, 05:32:27 PM »
I've read the reviews on this ball, and wanted some current input. would this ball in 16# polished, be good on dry lanes? I throw 15#'s, but I just got this Too Hot, and wondered if this would be a good addition for med-dry lane cond. also, someone said polishing a ball helps carry the 10 pin, any truth to that??thanks.

This supposed to be a mild hooking ball. I put alot of revs on the ball and cant keep the ball on the lanes. If you have alot of revs and depending on how you have it drilled it could be too much for you. If you dont have alot of revs and have it drilled tame yeah it would be a good choice. I personally use Lane#1 xxxl for drylanes, It is polyester ball with a weight block.

This ball for me was very lane condition specific.  Mine was drilled to go long, and did it ever!  I used mine mostly when there was carry down/ med-med dry lanes.  I throw 13-14 mph with med revs.  Too dry it would hook too much, too wet and it would never break.  Just as I was getting to love this ball, it cracked in the cold.   You will either love it or hate it.  I don't know too many people who don't have a strong feeling one way or the other.  It is not, in my opinion a good universal ball.
