Lets say its a stormy night. Outside rain is coming down hard, its thundering really hard, and you have a league you bowl in at this time. By surprise, you somehow pull off 11 strikes in a row in your first game. You get up to throw your last shot. Then you hear a loud thing of thunder. Bam!! Electricity goes out!! The power does not come on for about another hour. That would be really bad luck.

What would even be the ruling on this?? Since the electricity went out, all scores are lost(unless they have some type of backup). So basically he has to start over again?

Im not TOTALLY positive but I think if there were "witness's" they would credit u for the 11 strikes and let u finish. im not sure tho

I remember a story similar to this one.  A well known guy in a small town shoots 11 in a row and the power goes out.  After a little discussion with the league, someone goes to the back to retrieve his ball and while under a bunch of flashlights, he bowls his 12th strike.  They counted it for his 300.  There is a rule that if you can recreate your score you can use it after the power goes out, but everyone must agree to it.

I remember the Andy Griffith episode, but I remember it the other way.  Andy and the boys gave up on Howard and cancelled the bet, but then Howard did get the strike.  --  JohnP
