I am a heavy handed player with ave speed and a pap of 4 1/2 over nd 1/2 - 3/4 down
Bowl tournaments at least every other weekend and
I have the ability to hook the lane if needed but perfer to try straighter on the lane because i feel I can increase my carry percentage.  Well I am trying to set up a arsenal to set up weaker to play straighter.

I was thinking this how would it work

heavy -thing drilled pin unde ring cg right of thumb big weighthole
med-heavy au79 drilled 1:30 mb right of thumb
med thing returns pin under middle cg in palm
med-light  flashpoint pin over middle cg in palm 1000 abralon
light ebonite ice pin over middle cg under box condition
misc mega idol 1:30 drill, anomaly - stacked

Even being heavy handed, I'm not sure I'd call the Thing my heavy oil ball.  You also use a true dry lane ball and/or a control ball.  Dynothane Barrage, Visionary Centaur, Ebonite V2 Dry, Track Dry Heat, AMF Valor-P, Brunswick SlayR, Lane#1 XXL (maybe even an XXXL if you bowl long format tourneys that dry out) or Visionary Slate Blue Gargoyle.

I would leave the Flash Point box condition.
I had one for a while and it was much stronger than expected.
Even though it is a 1500 grit polished pearl it rolls more like a 1000 grit dull solid and is very smooth.
