The Most Interesting Split You have Ever Had
« on: February 13, 2006, 03:43:17 AM »
My friend left the 2-4-5-7-10 and converted it...
i left the 5-7-10 and took it out with a 6lb ball
i saw a little bot leaving the 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 split(it is a split!!!)
9(and a half)10 where the 9 pin just slided left

What did you leave and did you take'em?

thanks

This summer I left a 2-4-5-10.  I did pick it up though.  I did not have a good ball reaction so I changed balls.  This one was much worse.

Tonight in our sport league, a guy next to me left a 3-7-9-10 and picked it up.

Well, it happened to me today. A very solid pocket shot with 8 in the pit. I have never left this before on a packed shot. Bone 7-8 baby split!

It's easier to say what he took out.  A team mate in college took out the 1-2-5-8 on the front 8

Left the 3-4-6-7-9-10 three times, picked it up twice.

What goes on there is the ball takes out the 1-2-5-8. I'm right-handed. Two of the three times I've left it, I left it with an old Brunswick Quantum Helix, got the ball way outside and too deep down the lane, the ball snapped off the dry and then rolled out. The leave is basically the Greek Church, except the ball narrowly misses the 3 on its way through.

lol everyone gets so excited about leaving the 3 4 6 7 9 10, taking out the 1 2 5 8 only...I guess the most of you that do don't turn the ball much, as that is almost a common leave for alot of people with turn these days...I can honestly say I have left that about 25 times in my life and probably picked it up about 7-10 times...It is no doubt no fun to leave it because it can become an instant game killer...your better off throwing a gutter and having a chance to spare that up.

And Then...........

I left another 10 pin

I turn the ball pretty well. I'm just accurate enough not to leave it much.

in one night I witnessed a bowler in our scratch league leave a 5-7-10 where the 5 slid almost to the 4 spot making it more reasonable to spare(he didn't) then later , the same guy left a 2,8,9 split. did not convert that either
