Storm Punch Out vs Motiv Apex Ascent
« on: October 13, 2015, 07:12:45 AM »
I am in need a piece between my IQ Tour and Ride with a controllable breakpoint shape.  Looking for length and medium response to friction which I believe gives me a "fish hook" look instead of a "hockey stick" shape.

I threw a friends Apex Ascent at 4000 abralon and give me a nice look.  Before I pull the trigger I was hoping to get some feedback on the Punch Out.

Thanks !!

The Apex has a modified cover that is on the Primal Rage and the Sigma Sting...a great ball for me playing outside lines like 8-5 or 6-3, just keep the speed up cause it will respond to friction quickly.

I have never thrown either ball, but in looking at their specs, if I was forced to choose one or the other, even though I love Motiv, I would have to choose the Storm Punch Out because of it's lower rg and higher differential.

The Apex definitely gets length!!  It was too long for me, so I took mine down to 2000 and its money there!!
