Don Carter Oil extraction Gel?

Has anyone ever tried this on a particle ball for oil removal?
The test according to the site info is to take the ball after cleaning of the dry gel & immerse in 120F water. No oil should bleed.

Sounds more like its trapping the oil in? I mean, if you just put this gel on, and wipe it off, how does that extract oil? Although, I guess if you let it sit, it may draw the oil out, and then when you wipe the gel off, your wiping the oil away to. Not totally sure, sounds like its worth a shot though?
