According to local sources, Double Decker bowl in Rohnert Park CA has been bought by Bowlero.
This is not good news for serious bowlers.

That makes sense. They also bought Strikes in Rocklin. It just opened back up as Bowlero Strikes. My Jr./Adult travel league is going to be there in a month or two, so we'll see what is going to happen there.
The Thunderbowl one worries me, though, as that's just across the river from Omaha We have a huge bowling community here and we're plenty happy that our closest Bowlero location was in Oklahoma City, but now this has me worried about all of the leagues at this alley.
At the very least they'll have to keep these two going because they went all in on the PBA certification program, so we know these won't be shutting down. It is also interesting to note that most of the alleys they are buying up either are or have been previous PBA stops.

We've been under Bowlero now for about 18 months. No changes to leagues aside from lineage cost and administrative changes (house no longer acts as treasurer or secretary.).No more house tournaments.
There are numerous unhappy bowlers threatening to go elsewhere next season, but that's just bowling in general.
