Down and In Ball for Dry Conditions

Is there a good ball that would work straight up the boards on a dry lane?

Excellent point, Gunny. Everybody's idea of dry (and down and in, for that matter) is different. Is dry you bowling on cheetah, or trying to force a ball through fried heads? Is down and in playing right up a board, or just less belly than normal?

Any clarification would be very helpful. Best ball I've ever had for drier conditions was an amf scamp with a 5.5 inch pin from pap. My clear wolf was great too. As was my stinger 2 piece with 2 coats of control-it on it. Those were good on playing closer to the dry on a ths. Now, on the drier Pba patterns, due to the volume, I would use sstronger pieces.

I just recently bowled on a already bowled on dead mans curve pattern, and I could have used ssomething weak, because from 8 in was on fire. But, if I played up 5 with something strong, I had a good look.

So if you could please define what you're trying to accomplish, it would be helpful.

I've been really happy with my Slingshot in the dry.  Right up 7 or 8 and it makes a nice move into the pocket.  It doesn't move at all in oil, however.
