Our local City Open adobted the NATIONALS dress code and our state uses a modified version of that, but still pretty classy... the Women's tournaments is a different story - which I don't understand because they are the ones that wanted the Standard Opens to use the Nationals dress code...

DRESS CODE RULE: Participants will wear a shirt with a “butterfly†type or “neck-high†collar with sleeves. Hemmed shorts*, skorts*, and jeans (with no holes) will be allowed. *NOTE: Skirt, skort, and short hemlines must extend beyond bowler’s fingertips when standing relaxed and arms are extended downward at the bowler’s side. Prohibited attire includes, but is not limited to: tank top shirts, cut offs, short shorts, headgear (allowed for medical reasons only), sweats, spandex. Shirts with inappropriate or vulgar pictures or writing will not be allowed. Failure to comply, bowler will not be allowed to bowl and cause forfeiture of entry fees. Tournament director or designee’s decision as to appropriateness of attire will be final.
