Zan, it's not about what you "prefer" to play. You CAN physically play there, but that's not going to cut it all the time. Lanes dictate where you play, not you, IF scoring is priority.
Let's define what's important. Is it the line you play OR is it striking?
You say "Striking isnt the problem but continous striking is the problem... ". If continous striking is the problem, then STRIKING IS THE PROBLEM considering the goal (we're assuming until the above question is answered) is to strike as much as possible.
LANES DICTATE PLAY.
Move your friggin feet to the read you have on your ball reaction. If it's up 5 do it, if its 20 at the arrrows out to 6-7, do it. Learn to play the extremes and be versatile. Practice with the Shark on one lane and Cheetah on the other.
If scoring is the priority move your feet. If its not, do whatever you want.
