This Tournament or That Tournament?
« on: July 25, 2011, 10:05:50 PM »
Ok, hypothetically....

You live on the East Coast and you've won a paid entry into either the Masters or the U.S. Open in 2012. Which tournament do you choose?

That's my situation, and I've already asked a few friends at home. I figure why not ask for opinions from BR Nation as well

The Masters is easier to cash in, and get some return on your bowling investment.   The US Open is closer to you and would be less money in travel, hotel expenses.   The US Open will be harder to cash in, and a true bowling challenge.

Depending on how much money you have to spend, bowling the US Open will at least save you air fare.

Both are going to be tougher conditions, but historically the Masters has been the easier of the two tournaments to make some money at.

Masters.  You don't want any part of the pro's on the US Open pattern if you are an amature.

If you are looking for a challenge, take the US Open.

They are both great tournaments, but if you are good at grinding it out....take the open.

It is the hardest pattern you will ever bowl on. Its nice walking out of the bowling alley after averaging 180 and feel great about yourself.

Respect the skill....not which hand it's thrown with.
