Does anyone have any pics of what a dropped ring finger drill looks like compared to the sarge easter. Thanks

Dropped ring finger, as far as I know, just means the span is not all the way out to the full extent of the ring finger's true span. It doesn't really require a picture. Mine is "dropped" by 1/8" because of tendonitis in my ring finger. My normal span would be 4 3/4" and 4 7/8". Instead, I use 4 3/4" for each finger. The picture would only show 2 holes equidistant from the thumb hole.

That's one version of dropped ring finger.  Some folks actually have a span that is short on their ring finger naturally, but it's rare.  Some people utilize the dropped ring finger terminology when they are looking at a ball with an offset thumb as it sometimes puts the ring finger below the middle finger due to the offset.

Goof,

Any picture I have seen of the offset thumb had the ring finger hole appearing to be even further from the thumb than normal. It LOOKED like a stretched ring span. The middle finger hole LOOKED like it was "dropped" compared to the ring finger hole.

I utilize a "dropped" ring finger on some of my balls because I broke my finger, and dropping the ring a 1/4" helped relieve some of the pain.  I now use this when ever I get a new ball even though my finger is healed since I've gotten used to it.

Charlest, I believe what you've seen is pretty normal if I understand correctly.  If you put the fingers in line and draw a line straight through the bridge, most people probably have the (center of the) thumb to the left(for righties, right for lefties) of that line.

I have what Goof mentioned.  The ring finger span on my equipment is shorter than my middle finger span.
