Dropping to 14lbs. need advice
« on: September 09, 2013, 06:10:42 PM »
Thinking about dropping to 14 lb. equipment and need some advice on a good two (not counting plastic) ball arsenal.  Would like to stay in Columbia, Track or Hammer balls.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it will help, I'm a senior bowler.  Lower revs, and speed around 14 mph.  My average is usually in the 180's now but maybe I can jack it up with lighter equipment and more speed.

Thanks for the help.

I dropped to 14lb before last year and I love the lighter weight! I'm also a senior bowler and you won't regret the change. I've scored really well with the Oath, Mass Eruption and Violent Eruption in the Columbia line. I love the Track 508A and I have a fairly strong drilling on it and can use it on most conditions. I have some Hammer balls that will be here this week that I'm excited to drill. The Amp, Absolute Curve, Spike and Nail Titanium. You may see your stats change when you drop ball weight so have ball speed, pap, and revs checked once you change. Just let me know how I can help in any way, Bruce

I'm always going to suggest a Hammer Arson Low Flare to just about anyone, yeah I like it that much.

Rolls smooth and hits damn hard,  and can do a lot with it depending on drilling and surface changes.

I've been looking at that ball as well Armourboy. It looks like a great ball to have in the bag with the low rg and low diff. It appears to be a very good control ball. Just my $.02, Bruce
