You want a ball that hooks? Get a Virtual Gravity Nano

You want one that doesn't? Any newer polyester ball like a White Dot or Vis-A-Ball will work.

Achilles- I apologize if I sound like a jerk but you really didn't need to post the same question 6 different times in 6 different forums on the site. Trust me, we would like to help you out, and I know you're interested in finding some different out about some different balls. That's cool. Posting the same question or rewording it 6 times makes it come across as if you don't want to listen to us or accept our advice.

Anyways, the best advice that I can give you (as well as others) is to work with a reputable pro shop and have them get to know you, your style, the lane conditions you bowl, etc. That would honestly be the best thing as you mentioned that you are looking to get more serious into bowling. When I got back into bowling a few months ago, that was the first thing I did. My style itself didn't really change but being even stronger now, I was a little more speed dominant compared to the past. The pro shop guy I work with now knowing this, worked with me to find balls and drillings that would work best for my game. Compared to my previous arsenals, I am more confident than ever with what I have right now.

All of us have our favorite brands. I throw Storm/Roto Grip and match up well with them. In fact, I have 4 balls, 2 from each brand. In my case, my favorite balls in my arsenal is the Storm Virtual Gravity Nano (heavy oil) and the Roto Grip Rising Star hybrid (light-medium oil). Those are absolute money to me in leagues. I also use the Roto Grip Nomad Dagger (medium oil) and the Storm Anarchy (medium-heavy oil when I need extra length compared to the Nano). All of these 4 have a solid place in my arsenal and are drilled specifically for the reactions and conditions I play most.

Now just because Storm/Roto Grip works really well for me does NOT mean it will work the same for you. My cousin throws Hammer because it suits him better for how he plays the lanes (he throws more revs/covers more boards than I will.) He doesn't match up that well with Storm or Roto Grip. There's people on here swear by Brunswick, Track, Hammer, 900 Global, Ebonite, etc. All of the manufacturers today produce high quality products at multiple price points. There are so many variables and that's why we are recommending for you to find a good pro shop. They can get to know your game and in return recommend the best brands/specific balls to fit your needs.

Again, I apologize if I came off like a jerk in this post. Myself, along with the others would rather give you honest advice compared to saying 1 ball is better than any of the others and seeing you end up with something that wont work.

Wow dude, all of the stuff you have listed is way to much for anything less than meduim heavy.

Try something like
Heavy: Nano
Meduim:Rip/r
light: Backlash
torch:Desperado

Overall though hooking is not always the answer.

It's a new user name and I think he used have a different name and asking the same questions on all the forums! You ask what's the favorite ball for 10 people and you may get 10 different favorites! Plus, you may get 10 different ball companies!
