Dual Angle Lite Video/Article
« on: October 02, 2013, 08:04:12 AM »
Ok, to start off with, there's hundreds of dual angle videos on youtube, I get that.  Quite frequently though, when I start talking to people about it, it doesn't take long for their eyes to glaze over and for them to keep asking me to repeat things.  Our bowling community is pretty traditional and behind the times, so it's just recently started to pick up some steam here, and there are a lot of people that are walking around with a sheet with some generic layouts for generic pap ranges and all they're doing is looking at the description of the layout and sticking hard to the numbers regardless of their personal specs.  They don't really understand what the numbers mean, they just see that this layout for the "4 1/2 to 5 1/8 over pap range" says "late backend" so they say, "I want these numbers."  Explaining why those numbers need to be adjusted or changed for them proves to be the challenge.

In getting into it, I realized that there's just no way to get around the fact that you have to have a basic knowledge of a few things like pap, val, etc., it can only be made so simple or clear.  Asking for feedback here, so whether you are still fuzzy on the details, or very familiar with it, let me know if I got the critical information across without watering it down too much.  Thanks!

What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?
