Evil Siege vs Mega Recovery vs Wild Card
« on: June 12, 2010, 04:42:50 PM »
Looking for a ball to fit inbetween my Invasion and Wild Thing. I save the Invasion for tournaments because it's too strong for my THS, but sometimes need a ball that is stronger than my Wild Thing. I like balls that hook earlier, but that are angular on the backend. I have a chance to get any one of the three balls mentioned in the title. Which would fit best?

Balls that hook earlier AND are angular is a tough bill. For the most part you need a stronger cover (solid) to hook earlier, but "angular" usually requires you to be using a pearl reactive. You will need to decide which is more important to you.

Having said that, the Wild Card does give me a little more angle late than most solids that I've used, so that may be a good compromise. You should try a pin above the fingers layout to give you an even better chance.

The other option is to drill a pearl reactive, probably pin down, and then adjust the surface down to 2000 or so and see if that reads the lane early enough for you.

Everything depends on the actual conditions and lane surface you're on as well as your own style, so don't be afraid to adjust the surface on whatever ball you end up with.

You should try a C-system 3.5
