Hurt Neck
« on: March 07, 2007, 10:27:56 AM »
This last weekend while bowling in our association tournament I pulled a muscle in my neck in my follow through.  I was bowling well and had to pull out (277, 215, 1 1/2 frames of game 3).  Has anyone else done this before, and if so how long did it take to heal.  I saw a doctor but he didnt say how long to heal he just gave me pills.

Wow, I feel your pain. Last night at the middle of second game
I cranked one, rolled a strike and came back to a lady on the other
team and said"thats gonna hurt tomorrow". Today I had to replace a
Crown at the dentist and sat there for 1 hour & 50 minutes and
my neck was screaming. I've had neck problems before when I used to
work for Pacific Bell/SBC/Att---took early retirement and neck was
pretty good till today. Liquid Advil works really well.Don't get
the Doc to give you Vicodin. That works well but is addictive and makes
you goofy.

my friends like to make fun of me when i tell them I hurt myself bowling.  Anyway its happened to me before and now i make sure I stretch my neck and I also take advil as a preventive measure before bowling.
