Anyone else feel it?  Apparently it originated out in Chino Hills/Riverside.

Crazy.  Was on the phone with my boss, who's in Chino Hills.  He says "hold on, hold on" and hangs up 2.5-3 seconds later I feel it.  Cool stuff.  Hope it's not a precursor to the big one.

Yes, felt it in Northern San Diego county as well, though wasn't much by the time it got here.  I was working on my car at the time and the whole car shook.  I looked around to see who the bozo was who was shaking it was, but didn't see anyone and went back to work on the car.

I was just saying to some one at The Gathering that we hadn't had any earthquakes in the area for quit some time.  It was felt pretty well here in the San Fernando Valley.  I told my daughter if it wasn't local, it had to be a decent one.

While I've lived in SoCal over 50 years, I never get completley used to it.  I have been through 2 that resulted in significant damage, San Fernando/Sylmar in 1971 and Northridge in 1994.  When it starts shaking, there is always the thought is this going to be another one?

I did not feel here it in Maryland , but I was on a conference call with a co-worker in LA and he ended the call a few minutes after the initial quake due the continuing aftershocks...scary stuff, but he seemed fine with it.

I just hope that no one was hurt by the quake, and I wish all of you the best that live in the quake zones.  Take care.

I haven't heard of anyone being injured by the quake.  It was probably way too small a quake to cause any injuries or damage.

In my experience, depending on location, a quake generally needs to be at least in the 6 or 7 range before injuries and damage occurs.  Lesser quakes are just part of the "fun" of living here.

I'll take earthquakes, even big ones, over tornadoes or hurricanes any day!

They reported 11 injuries, but none life threatening.  Here in CA 5s are not as serious as in other countries due to the strict building codes.  Between the building codes and earthquake retrofitting over the past 30 or so years, damages and injuries are reduced.

Yes!! Did feel the tremble. Started out as a rolling motion, and after 3 seconds, gradually got to a stronger shaking motion. Originally a 5.8, downgraded to a 5.3. Obviously not the strongest. Wouldn't be surprise to have a stronger one "rolling" through soon.
