Let's say you're a bowling chain such as Bowlmor/AMF/Brunswick or a locally owned chained such as what the Anderson family has here in Minnesota, those bowling centers have a unique opportunity to get the message our when they run tournaments run by the USBC city or state and other organizations that operate traveling tournaments that are like a tour. For example, the USBC City, State, and 700 Clubs being held at a chain in a metro area can be told to all league bowlers at the bowling center it is being held at as well as other centers linked to the same bowling chain.
In our market, say if the Minneapolis City Tournament is held at AMF Southtown Lanes. That means the 3 AMF centers and all 4 Brunswick Zone centers can tell all their league bowlers during practice 2 weeks prior to the tournament and 1 week prior to the tournament that the Minneapolis City Tournament is coming up and there are sign up forms at X location.
I don't know how to take care of the league problem, but this is really simple for tournaments.
I'm not advocating on running more tournaments. I'm saying once they're on the tournament schedule sheet, promote them.
